Jurgen Ladendorf

Consulting Principal

Jürgen Ladendorf is a Consulting Principal with Greenway Group specializing in counseling professional service firms on client/service strategy and organizational development.  Formal in-house management education for senior professionals with growing general management responsibilities has become a major practice in his group.

In 1995, Martin Sorrell, CEO of WPP, the UK-headquartered and world’s largest marketing communications services conglomerate, commissioned Ladendorf  to design and conduct management education programs for senior executives of WPP Group member firms.  These programs were inaugurated in the second half of the 1990s in North America, expanded to Europe and subsequently to Asia-Pacific. In parallel to engagements with WPP Group member firms, Jürgen developed and conducted custom-designed in-house executive education programs for major international legal services, accounting/auditing, and architectural design services firms. He accepted invitations from the Australian Graduate School of Management (now part of the University of New South Wales), to design and conduct consortium-formatted management education seminars for partner-level executives of professional service firms operating in the Australasian and Asia-Pacific regions.  Firms participating in these consortia included Ernst & Young, Deacons, Goldman Sachs JB Ware, Hewitt Associates, Kellogg Brown Root, Woods Bagot, IBM Services, and the IT Services Division of Telstra.

In 2013 Ladendorf entered into a collaboration agreement with the Greenway Group of Atlanta, GA, for management education and consultative services to architectural design firms.  Under this agreement, Ladendorf operates as a principal consultant of the Greenway Group and also serves on the faculty of Greenway Group’s Global Leadership Certificate Program.

Ladendorf currently serves as non-executive Chairman of A-N-D Group plc, a British marine engineering and marine communications company. He served for twelve years as Executive Chairman of The DEI-IDAX Group, a US systems engineering firm that specialized in condition-based predictive production systems management.

Ladendorf was Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President, and member of the Executive Committee of Satellite Business Systems (SBS), of McLean, Virginia, a partnership of IBM, Comsat, and Aetna Casualty and Life.  This company developed and operated the world’s first satellite-based ISDN private communication system for large multi-national industrial corporations.  SBS was fully acquired by IBM.

Ladendorf held a Professorship at Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration.  His teaching fields were operations management, industrial procurement, and industrial marketing.  His doctoral research was in corporate finance.

Ladendorf received a Master’s Degree from Yale University Graduate School of Engineering and Science and a Doctoral Degree from Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration.
